Subject:Notation Software that works with Acid Pro7

Is there a piece of software that will allow me to notate music and have those notes played through a softsynth of my choice? Using the piano roll in the midi editor is OK sometimes but other times I really want to just notate my inclinations and see how it sounds.

Going the other way is something I'm interested in also. If I produce a midi track in Acid is there a way I can have those midi notes translated to notation? It'd be great if I could play something on my midi keyboard, or use the piano roll, and have those notes put to paper so to speak.

I saw that Steinberg Cubase does something like this naitively.

I don't know of any plug-in for ACID Pro that will do this. I'm guessing that no one has answered in 12 days because there aren't any.

You would have to use stand-alone notation software that reads and writes MIDI files to accomplish this.

I suppose that stand-alone software may be necessary. However the couple of notation software apps that I've looked at require the use of their stand alone instruments. I'd like to notate the score, and have it play through which ever soft synth that I'm using. Specifically Native Instruments soft synths. More specifically the Komplete Kontrol software. I'm looking into purchasing the NI Komplete Kontol S81 keyboard midi controler and would love it if I could integrate that hardware/software with Acid Pro Seven.

I just remembered that Mixcraft has notation stuff built in.

Buy a Mac and use Logic Pro X (which is what I use). That will allow you to compose using notation and your Native Instruments plug-ins. I'm sure there is PC software that will do this was well (i just don't use a PC anymore to know)... but ACID Pro is never going to do this.
