I'm working on my first project where I really need the ability to tag and sort through lots of subclips. I've shot a poet doing a spoken word piece and it's about 5 long continuous (30 minutes each) takes from different angles.
So, naturally, I figured I could use the trimmer to take my 5 events and trim out subclips, and then use tags and media bins to allow me to sort and search through it all. Alas, I find out that Vegas 13 DOESN'T remember tags for subclips.
Then I remembered the old Media Manager. Apparently Sony doesn't even support using that any more, because I couldn't find anything about installing it in the documentation. Finally found a version here that said it worked with Vegas 9 - 11, and gave that a try. Alas, it apparently doesn't know anything about subclips.
Is my only choice for working with subclips is to just make lots of bins in the Project Media window, and put my subclips in there? How do other people manage keeping track of all their different shots?
I've been with Vegas since V3, but man, it's starting to bum me out how basic stuff doesn't work.
