Your experience using a controller with Sony Vegas

I want to get your experience using a controller with Sony Vegas Pro? If you use it, what do you use for a controller? and if you have gone back to a mouse why have you gone back.

Not trying to be snarky here, but we all know that it is possible to use a controller with Sony Vegas Pro.
we all know that there are Controllers like the ones from Mackie and Behringer. This is not a discussion about IF you can use a controller, but about your experience good or bad using a controller instead?
I have enough equipment that I no longer use, but if this makes the experience of using Sony Vegas Pro and other software more enjoyable than using a mouse that is good to know.

Have used a Behringer BCF, ShuttlePro, and Tranzit USB. But now mostly only use a Mackie MCU (bought off eBay) and the Tranzit.

The Mackie just leaves the others for dead, though is significantly larger. Never any particular problems using the others - all seemed to "work as advertised" ;-)
