Subject:Make tracks semi-transparent?

It would be helpful for me to be able to see the vertical beat lines under the sound waves on my tracks. But the background is defaulting to a solid color. It would be helpful for me because I could more easily line up downbeats on the actual beat. Anybody know if this is possible?
