Sony Vegas 11 Stabilization Won't Render

Hi, I've search the forum for an answer to this problem, but unless I missed it, I couldn't find an answer. I'm trying to use the stabilizer in Vegas Pro 11, and I've managed to apply it to clips and can see the stabilization effect in preview mode, but when I go to actually render the video, the rendered version comes out all shaky, apparently with no stabilization. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

Some users reported bad stabilize problems with the final V11 build (701 I believe). It wasn't as bad in 683, but all versions of 11 were hit and miss for me with Stabilize.

In earlier builds, I found that if the project was closed, then reopened, the Stabilize FX would replicate - every time you closed and opened the project. Open your clip's media FX window and see if you have multiple instances of Stabilize, and remove all but the first one.

If that isn't your issue, the plugin also seems very sensitive to where the i-frames are in the subclip you created (you did create a subclip first, right?) Many times I only got a good result by making my subclip longer than I knew I needed in my final clip, applying the effect, then rendering to a new track and trimming. Also, you will not ever get good results if your source footage, project and render properties don't match. It doesn't like resizing or frame rate changes. If you're rendering to a different frame rate or frame size, render the stabilized clip to a new track first.

I never got as far as being able to get V11 to render anything, let alone something that was stabilized. It would crash on startup or just sitting there idling. I fought with it the whole year of it's life and watched support on it cease without there ever having been a version stable enough for the simplest of projects. An absolute waste of a software generation IMHO.
