Subject:How Do You Use SF in Your Music Production?

Hello--

I've been using Sound Forge for a while now in my music production--but recently I find that I use it less and less.

I use Sonar X2 for tracking and mixing, and Wavelab 8 for mastering--so what do I need SF for?

I used to only use it for audio "fixing" pop/clicks and that kind of thing. I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there that uses SF in music production that would be willing to share how they use it?

I want to take advantage of just upgrading to v 10 Pro, but I guess I don't create as many problems in tracking where I need to do as many corrections with SF.

My guess is there are many sound design features (besides creating loops) that I'm missing out on.

Looking forward to hearing how you use SF in your music production workflow.

Thanks,

Stephen

If you have SF and Wavelab, and choose to use Wavelab for most things, then your SF is kind of redundant I guess....

I don't have Wavelab, and am happy to continue using SF, but I do also use CDA extensively (which has an in-built equiv in Wavelab I believe).

I don't have Wavelab, but whatever floats your boat. I use SF a lot in conjunction with Vegas Pro often as well. I've using SF since ver. 3 so I'm pretty comfortable with it. That's not to say I agree with SCS design/functionality changes.
