I need to create subtitles in up to 40 languages for a corporate video. I'm trying to use the Closed Captioning feature because they want to be able to turn it on and off. I get how to create the CC in the timeline and I see how to export it via the scripting command but my questions are these:
1) will I be able to create 40 different languages and just have them selectable in the right click menu of whatever program is playing them back? i.e. VLC player
2) how do I actually GET them to play? I've tried exporting the subtitles to quicktime and rendering to mp4 and playing the file in VLC and no matter what I do I can't get the CC file to play with the video. I tried rendering to .mov as well. No luck. What do I need to do to be able to make sure the subtitle tracks are accessible?
