Focusrite compatibilty

I just purchased a Focusrite 2i4 interface. I'm running Vegas Pro 9.0. I get playback, but can't record. I'm assuming there is a compatibility issue. Can I upgrade my Sony product to make it work? I've downloaded all the latest drivers I can find.

In Menu: Options|Preferences|Audio Device, are you able to select the Focusrite ASIO as "Audio Device Type"? Does the "Default Audio recording device" parameter also change to the Focusrite?
