How does this error occur? When open the project?

Yup when opening an AP7 project. It'll get to maybe 26% of loading and then this message will be displayed, then Acid will close after pressing "ok". This project is very important, I don't want to do it all over again and my band's next album is going to be released soon.

What about the associated .ACD-BAK project backup file? Does that open?

It does the same exact thing as the actual file, I tried both.

Can you open other projects?

Not good, unfortunately. If you had any recordings in this project, they should be able to be added to a new project (provided you kept everything organized, which I always advocate).

Yup all the wav. files are intact and kept safe.
I even defraged and performed a system restore, still came to the same result.Unfortunately I think i'm going to have to create the project again. Oh well.
