Using Dual Layer DVDs

It seems I come back about every 6 months with a new question... Many years ago I transcribed some 16mm movie film [dated 1934-1957] to VHS. Then this year I ran that through my camera and digitized it and created a 5.5 Gb mpeg2 file. There was no way I was going to be able to edit it to fit on a standard DVD, so I bought a small pack of 8.5 Gb disks today.

I tried to create a DVD today and told the system to make the break wherever, but I got a screen message saying, ""Please insert chapter marker in title "16mm 1934-1957" between "00:55:27.758" and "01:30:14.342". How do I do this? Must I go back into Vegas and insert something [I don't know what], or is this something that can be done in DVD Architect 4.5?

This video has no breaks in its entirety. It's just a single mpg file with an opening title.

Instructions appreciated. TIA

You can insert a marker in DVDA the same as in Vegas by positioning the cursor and pressing the M key. Just choose a spot where a momentary pause won't matter so much. (The DVD player may pause briefly as it switches layers.)

Thanks very much. That worked fine.

There's a dinosaur program called DVDShrink that will do a great job of reducing the file to 4.35 GB for a standard DVD.
