Boris FX 10 questions

Hi,

I think to buy Boris FX10 for Sony Vegas. Maybe you can answer my questions :

- will it work under SVP 10e 64bit ?
- does it work as plugin for Vegas or just stand alone ?
- what about interaction between plugins from BCC7 and FX10 (some of them are identical, should I expect that installation of FX10 will overwrite some effects from BCC7 ? or they wiil be coexisting).

... I have asked all these questions to Boris supports, but it's weekend, I have some time to experiment and would not like to wait for anwer to Monday ...

I have Boris Red and not FX so I cannot be 100% sure of your situation. However, Red and FX both operate as a plugin to Vegas. Unlike BCC that has a Vegas plugin for each effect, Red and FX have a single plugin that take you to the Boris application. This makes perfect sense since Red and FX have compositing capabilities that Vegas does not.

Red has both a 32 and 64 bit versions. Only the 64 bit version works with VP12 since it is a 64bit application. You should check the situation with FX yourself by downloading the trial version.

I know that Red and BCC do coexist, I imagine that FX does the same since it is a "watered-down" version of Red.
