VASST Ultimate S Pro Reinstall

drmathprog wrote on 3/11/2013, 8:51 PM
My video PC died and I have just replaced it.

I have just installed Vegas 12 Pro and verified it is licensed and activated.

I am trying to install my licensed copy of VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1.2.

It fails, complaining "VASST Ultimate S Pro requires Vegas Pro. A compatible Vegas Pro installation could not be found. "

Has anyone seen this before or can suggest a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Same thing happened to me. I simply uninstalled both, reinstalled both, Vegas first, problem was solved.

I tried uninstalling each and reinstalling, and I still get the same results; Ultimate S Pro will not allow itself to be installed.

Simple solution. Copy the vasst EXE file to your desktop then click to install

I don't have to my video PC at the moment to test this, but I'm not following you.

What I have been trying is copying the Ultimate S Pro installer .EXE to the desktop and running it.

When you say "copy vasst EXE" to desktop", are you referring to the installer or to something else? If the installer, how is this different from what I have already done?

Have you tried right clicking on the .exe and install as Administrator?

I've been bitten by this, even though I'm logged in as Admin sometimes I still have to launch installation programs as Administrator.
