5.2 serial does not enable arch pro 6

Neither does the authentication code enable arch pro 6.

I upgraded to Vegas Pro 12, but moving up to Arch Pro 6 is proving a time-wasting task. Time wasted following links, looking for numbers and machine IDs. I need to spend my time on producing videos, not enabling software for which I have paid for the privelege of using.

It's time you guys focused your time on support. Make this process a little easier. I have complied with all the rules. Your instructions are inadequate, inconsistent, and contradictory.

Provide some help for a registered owner of every version since Vegas Pro 8. Don't worry. I would never return to Adobe. That company does not have a healthy future.

Thanks

This is a user to user forum, so comments such as yours are inappropriate.

I recently updated without problems. Bear in mind that the 5.2 serial won't work with 6. When you register, you will be sent an email with the new serial number.

When I downloaded the new version, the email with the new serial number went to my Junk Mail folder. Thought this might be helpful info for someone else.

My update went 100% right, it was 100% easy and all because of the Facebook link from Sony - that was truly appreciated and also a nice gesture :)

Echo that this is a peer to peer forum - NOT Sony support. As mentioned above, the DVDA 6 serial is on the confirmation e-mail that they sent you. Not exactly their fault if you've lost it. I'm 100% sure that if you e-mail customer service (Not tech support) they'll send you a reminder - happened to me a while back.....within an hour! There's a specific mention of lost registration in the FAQ's.

..... as you provided a valid DVDArch V5.2 serial number in order to receive V6, the V6 serial numbers also appear automatically in My Account|My Software

Good call Christo!

ChristoC, no, this does not happen. The new serial number will not appear under My Software until *after* registration. And of course, without the new serial number, the user can't register.

Kelly / Chienworks,
with this upgrade (5.2>6.0) that did happen to me (and some others, it seems).
Never happened before though.

After I filled out the free upgrade page on the Sony site (using my DVDA 5.2 serial number, I received an e-mail with the new DVDA 6 key. My Sony software page was also populated with the new s/n and I had not done any registration for it other than the web page entry.
