Hi

I bought Vegas Platinum HD 11 some time ago and was also privy to a free audio download from Sony called 360sountracks.

I used them quite a bit and today took a leap of faith and purchased Acid Rock-LFA and Steve Tibbetts Friendly Fire to add to my sound stuff.

I don't have a full version of Acid, and expected audio files I could import into Vegas as well.
This may be my mistake due to ignorance, however all the files import fine into Vegas, just not the full length tracks, which is what i was really after, which are Acid zips.

So I downloaded Acid Express7 free and that wont handle the files either?

I expected plain audio files?

Anyway I can get these into Vegas?

Also, I would like to get more soundtracks for my 10-20 min clips and I really appreciated the 360Soundtracks download from Sony, any others out there I can hunt down?

Thank you.

ACID zip files are basically self-contained ACID projects. Not sure why they wouldn't open in ACID Xpress. (Could be track number limitation; 10 tracks.)

I'm assuming these particular projects have loops (typically in WAV format) that need to be painted or drawn. (Welcome to the art of looping, if that's the case.) ;D

There are tons of resources concerning soundtracks. (An example is here.)

You can assemble your own, get "canned" tracks to use or collaborate with someone who creates media for what you want.

You could download a trial version of ACID studio and render the projects to .wav files that you can use directly in Vegas. Who knows, you might just like it enough to buy it :)

The Acid-zip format is just a zip file containing the .acd (Acid Project) file and the audio loop files (.wav), etc, that it references.

If Acid Express won't directly open the Acid-zip you could try renamimg it to .zip and then extracting the contents using your preferred Zip utility.

Perhaps Acid Express will be able to load the .acd project once it has been unpacked.
