I have SF 7 currently and only use it currently on occasion when I need to do some repair to a sound track (remove noises...etc). I typically stay within Vegas Pro as my DAW for mixing/mastering my audio/video projects. I am thinking of upgrading to 10 now that it contains some Izotope's stuff (although I have Alloy & Ozone)...if you have a couple of things you think are a no brainer for this upgrade...would truly appreciate hearing them. I know I could spend time digging throught this forum and gather that info, but I am so busy with work projects, I wish I had the time.... Thanks in advance |

The "no-brainer" feature that sold me on the upgrade was the addition of event editing... in that mode you can split tracks and slide them around just like in Vegas, adjust the crossfades, etc... has made some previously difficult editing much much easier and cleaner sounding. |

That and Multi-channel* support if you're dealing with 5:1, 7:1, poly files, ect.. * Not to be confused with MultiTrack. The same basic edit an GUI elements are the same, added some features eliminated others. It also includes NR-2.0, Ac Mirror and CD-Arc. Burning DAO CDs is now supported from the TL. Still not the right tool for the job if you are attempting to mix multi-track audio. And none of those things should impart a 'cleaner' sound quality ! geoff |
