Get Yah WACOMS out - Baby!

* Fixed a crash that could occur when Windows pen extensions are enabled (touchscreen or Wacom driver installed).

I know one Aussie that'll be happy.

Wow! Good for you Sony! Maybe some changes really are coming.

Alright!

Fixed an issue that could cause CD Audio disc burns to have just some audio and then silence if you switched away from the application during the burn.

This has long been a problem. Looking forward to better burns.

Still need to run the 701 in Compat mode. Why cannot SCS fix this?

I could never figure out why this happened. Well, thank goodness it's fixed. I burn a fair few disks, and it was quite a rigmarole using ImgBurn to do it.

And quite a surprise that VP11 was updated. Assuming it really DOES improve stability, then thumbs up to SCS.

New bug in 701 (64bit version): VP11 won't remember window positions anymore when using multiple monitors (they all stack up on top of each other on the main display).

This isn't nice since I have to reposition the various windows each time I start up Vegas (which is OFTEN, because of the constant crashes).

I even tried making a window template and setting it as the default one, no luck. Still have to at least load the window configuration every single time.

:(

Wonder how you correct a "stability" issue.

Was a BAD surprise for me. It killed a functional copy of vegas, and left me with one that won't even load projects generated yesterday. It crashes at 64% into the project load. (I rendered the thing once today.. Went through tightened the edits.. and naturally forgot to save the edits.. when I hit "render" I got the dread "Sony Vegas has stopped..." == and the dump went off to Sony.. I restarted it.. tried to load the file again, and the dump went off to Sony.

Latest drivers, Cuda turned off... LOTS of ram... Lots of hard drive.. Now? Lots of crashes.

Go back to the previous build. I wasn't joking when I said early in this thread "You try it." I have Vegas reasonably stable and too much at stake during the next 30 days to jump on this build. I will wait and then try it, but it sounds like it just opened up a different can of worms.

One update since May on a program full of bugs and some are acting like Sony is the saviour. No! The way I see it they are about 3 or 4 updates behind.

If this all doesn't get sorted out soon I am jumping ship to Adobe Premeire. No way will I consider investing in Vegas 12 at this point.

Are you saving your custom layouts?

You SHOULD be able to save your layouts and recall them with a simple click or 2 Vegas allows you to save up to 10 custom layouts. This includes layouts on multiple monitors.

spot on grazie!!!!

however, i'm going to let a few others test drive 701 before i venture in.

i'm happy that scs saw fit to point release for 11 at the same time as pushing 12 out.

as i wrote (somewhere?) maybe gvg / edius wont be getting my $'s after all.

with fingers crossed - good on ya scs!

Build 701 is stable for me, including NewBlue. Not sure why.

I feel bad for those users who are having problems; it works for some and for others it remains a nightmare.

So far 701 seems to have fixed two of my problems: 1.) I can now have my Wacom tablet enabled, and 2.) I can now use two monitors with NewBlue Titler Pro. Both of these scenarios crashed my system consistently prior to this. Luckily I had a work-around to get by but this is so much better! Thank you!!!

So here is the update we were all crying for! But I'm nervous! My build 683 I would class as pretty stable. My only issue is not being able to use the mainconcept mpg2 templates, but I have been having decent success using the Sony AVC mp4 templates. So in a round about way not a huge issue like some have had

So, should I try build 701? Doesn't really mention a specific fix to my issue.

If all goes badly will a system restore really put my machine back to exactly where it was before the update?

Yep, so far so good. Still haven't reinstalled my WACOM drivers though - I'll wait a week or two.

Too chicken to go to V12 though. Had so many issues with V11 at the outset, I may just wait until lucky V13 comes out.
