Are you using DVD Architect to author the DVD?

1) Try a different brand of BD-R media.

2) Buy yourself a BD-RE. You can use it more than once.

3) Take your burned disks to a big box electronics store and see if it works in newer players. Maybe you Blu-ray player is at fault.

Try DVD Architect. Render from Vegas to separate elementery streams using the DVD Architect templates.

I have never had a problem burning Bluray from the timeline or with DVD-A using Verbatim discs.

Never had a problem with TDK DVD-R or RW (or DVD+R DL or CD R/RW), when I can find them. (Used TDK products for years, cassettes, 8 track, reel to reel etc.)

Well... once. I had been using the same RW disc for a number of tests. Received an update to DVDA. It would write the disc but that disc wouldn't play in my player (Pioneer Elite 47i - which plays any flavor of DVD). (All my DVD (and BD) burners are Sony.)

Sent a problem. Was told the usual 'use different media'. I had explained that that very disc had worked many times before with the same burner and player.

With the next update of DVDA, the disc magically started working again. There was no mention of the fix in the updates page.

I have never had luck with Memorex anything - back to the cassette days. I have a number of Memorex DVD+R DL that won't even write.

I was not able to find TDK BD at the time, although I have seen them around since.
I have used Panasonic BD RE (SL) for some time with no problems.
However, I have not made a BD with Vegas or DVDA. I use DoStudio and ImgBurn.

I tried to use Memorex in my old Sony cd-r disc camera and they most of the time do not write. The old Sony discs worked perfect but are not available anymore.

Imation now owns TDK media. Since I had always regarded Imation as a "cheap" brand I wonder whether there has been any change for the worse with TDK branded products. I have had DVD-R discs branded Verbatim on the packet but made by CMC, but not recently. The matching looking DVD+R pack was made by Mitsubishi, the parent company, however.
