Vegas 11 crashes like crazy

jbolley wrote on 8/9/2012, 12:39 PM
Here's my latest ticket 120809-000035:

I just did a total uninstall, registry cleaning, and fresh reinstall of Vegas (along with SF, DVDA, CDA) and Vegas still crashes at the drop of a hat. Please see past unresolved tickets: 111207-000069, 111027-000085, 110713-000090, 110228-000093.
I used a whole day to try the suggested troubleshooting with no improvement.
Why does Vegas not work?

Well the only thing I can figure is that the Izotope multiband plugin is in every project that crashes and none that don't...
Is anyone else using these plugins in vegas?

Not in Vegas, but regularly use in CDA without problems. Will give it a go in V11.

You've presumably implemented the 'separate Temp folder' thing ?

Geoff,
Since I'm not sure what the 'separate temp folder' thing is I'd guess not. Can you tell me more about it?
Thanks,
Jesse

Set up a unique new Temp folder for V11. Every time you update a version clear it out first, or better still make a new one.

Seems to have improved stability for some users. Well-covered down the forum somewhere ...

I've stuck with V10 for stability...
