I'll have an iMac I5 2.7Ghz with 8 GB RAM available to render on. Anyone finding it faster than a Quad core (Q6600) with 4 GB RAM, each under Windows 7 64 bit? Vegas Pro 11 64 bit.
I have a test case of a 1:47 ice skating show that is taking around 4.5 hours to render on the straight Intel/Windows system. I'll have to adjust some things and maybe do color correction. Need to create a SD and BD file to burn and it would be awfully handy to fire up the Mac and do the render while I keep working on other things on the PC. For that matter, can the Mac become a burn station under Bootcamp and double the disc manufacture rate? I have no idea about drivers for an external BD burner on the Mac.
