playhead lands off frame

so (seemingly randomly) if I click a marker it shows the playhead lands on frame bound but the display shows it off by a sub frame amount (like say a fading graphic still barely shows) > now use the arrow button to toggle left or right and back again and I am dead on

i can then click drag the marker slightly and it now truly is dead on too. it seems this happens in the course of many ripple edits is my guess (some markers get off even if they look on)

is there a way to force all markers to be absolutely on?

What are your ruler settings for your project?

time and frames

(just tried changing to absolute frames and did not change issue)

like I said...it might have already happened when previously editing??

Probably won't make a difference, but you might change the ruler to SMPTE drop frames.

Is "quantise to frames" on?

yes but the project has accidentally had it off before after which i have been able to nudge it back on frame ...but i think when doing so regions and markers can sometimes develop the "off but not off" location

I think I finally remembered how to keep this from happening. If you are using SNAP, some things will snap to the ruler, not the frames.

Set your Grid Spacing to frames, and I think that will keep it from happening. wouldn't swear to it though.
