OT: what happened to DVInfo?

Some generic "under construction" page displays at the usual address; looks like they forgot to renew their domain...

I see the same page here in the US, so it is probably not a routing problem. Probably some site maintenance.

He didn't do anything to upset "Anonymous", did he? [grin]

Try now, I think construction might be finished

I think it has metamorphised.

Ah, I just noticed

"Coming Soon!
Why am I seeing this 'Under Construction' page?"

but the link is broken

VidMus wrote on 2/8/2012, 8:26 AM
I just tried it and it is now back to normal. YEA!

The "Why am I seeing the 'Under Construction..." link is redirecting to kolmic.com which has a record for malware !!!

I talked to Chris Hurd this morning and he is well aware of the issues and is working to resolve them. I do not know how long it will take to get it resolved but he is definitely working on resolving all issues. He also just posted a note on facebook's dvinfo page and I'm sure he'll post there when it has been resolved as well.

Another good one MIA is the dvdoctor forum. Apparently got hacked, but it's been down for quite some time now. :-(

Just checked again and it appears to be working again now.

Chris Hurd posted that a name server switch "went awry." It appears to be fixed now (5:40 pm EST).

What happened to DVInfo?

This question is actually a lot DEEPER than it seems; as DVInfo appears not to be maintained. All the info and articles are old.
