Generic control surface / automation not working

Hi there,

I'm having a problem assigning my MIDI keyboard (M-Audio Axiom Pro 25) to handle some keyboard commands and to record video automation in Sony Vegas Pro 11.

I've done everything I can think of according to the manual and trying out all forum solutions I could possibly find from the Internet, but still, I'm unable to automate mute on/off switches for video tracks.

- Added the keyboard as a generic surface and the learn mode did map the keys correctly so nothing wrong there.

- Enabled "External Control" from the "Options"-menu.

- Tried different track Automation enable options, to no avail.

It seems that a lot of other users have been complaining about this thing as well , especially those who use generic control surfaces with Vegas Pro.

What am I missing here? I remember that I could indeed get the automation working in an earlier version of Vegas Pro (at least the video channel faders worked), so is there something that has changed or is this a bug or what? Any suggestions?

Seems like I found the solution by myself ;o)

The solution was to create independent triggers for the "Set Audio Mode" and "Set Video Mode" -triggers from the Generic Control configuration panel. Whew. The VP11 documentation could really use some serious improvement...
