32 Bit Plugins and 64 Bit Vegas Problems!

So a lot of my old projects used a DX version of Waves RComp. I also used a DX version of SpinAudio RoomVerb 2.3. We've updated computers, and are now having the problem that we can't run the old sessions on the new computers.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we can fix this?
We have VST versions of RComp AND Roomverb-- is there a way for Vegas to use the settings from the old version on the new version? This could become an issue pretty quickly for us...

Simple answer is no, you cannot do this.

Vegas cannot map/replace a DX in a project to its VST replacement. They are very different models in how they are identified by the system. It is possible that a VST version would know how to read the perstance from a DX version.

There is no builtin mechanism to translate settings between DX and VST. They are different. The persistent format of a plugin's settings is opaque to Vegas. It is just a blob of information that the plugin provides to us.

You can try contacting the vendor of the plugin to see if they have a solution. Perhaps the plugin has an export to file in DX that can then be read by the VST version.
