NewBlue on Vegas 10 Win XP

Hi,

I'm retired so long on time short on cash, and have a 4 year old laptop running Vegas 10 on XP 32. Not worth it to upgrade to Win 7 until upgrade laptop ,so for the first time in some years was intending to skip upgrading Vegas to v11. However, I would upgrade if NewBlue would work on XP. NewBlue's web site says it will, but is the upgrade limited to Win 7 versions?

Any definitive help on this would be appreciated.

Maurice

If you're referring to the NewBlue titler, it's bundled with Pro 11 and, like Pro 11, works on Vista or Win 7 only.
NewBlue is releasing a standalone version that will run under XP but it's $300.

Thanks for that Mike. Looks as if I'll have to wait until I can afford a new machine.

It will work on Vegas 10 on XP but you need to have a graphics card that will support it. The demo is free and you can download it and see if it works on your laptop. The newest version is "backwards" (forwards?) compatable with Vegas 11 as well.

Unfortunately the downloaded version of the Newblue Titler via the Vegas link looks for v11 Vegas and aborts with a message if it doesn't find it. So it can't be used on V10.

You cannot use the Titler via the Sony link for trial and VP10. You need to download the version from Mike's link in the second post.

If you download form the link I gave you it works fine.

It sounds like you are using the download link for the 11 version so go back to my post and click on the download link, that is the correct one for VEgas 10 (And Premiere Pro as well)
