music note in captioning

Anybody know what character or ALT+xxx I need to enter to get a music note in the Closed Caption command?

Looking at the ASCII character code chart I don't see a musical note listed. I don't think you can do it with a standard font.

Yeah. I managed to import an SRT file that was saved in Unicode that makes the music note, but I can't find a keystroke to do it from scratch.

Belive it or not there is actually a little table in the help file. Just hit F1 and then go to the section called "Using Vegas Software" > "Adding Closed Captioning". Look under the little tab for "Add or edit closed caption markers on the timeline" and there it is.
