Uninstall 10 first?

I lauched the 11 installer. It told me to uninstall 10 first. Is this necessary?

strange, did not see that here. Now have both installed. Should be fine.

Yea, are you sure you launched the 11 installer? It should not be asking you to uninstall 10 and you definitely should keep 10 installed until you are comfortable that all of your projects open correctly in 11.

Should be able to install 10 and 11 (and 9 , 8, etc). Are you sure you haven't got some fancy 3rd-party Install Manager installed ?

I rebooted my machine and everything went okay. 10 and 11 now coexist. I might have done what John suggested -- mistakenly launched the 10 installer instead of 11.
