Getting film texture

Hi Guys,
I'm using Sony EX1, I shoot 1080P.
Any advice in post (sony vegas 10) to get some film texture?
I'm not talking about lightning or DOP, just need some matte texture for some shots. Is there a plug in out there? maybe some tricks with what I already have?

Shooting with one of the Cinegamma curves would help and from memory there's some "film" matrix setting. Shoot progressive of course.
Beyond that if you want to add film grain then yes I think there's some plugins around that'll do that. Realistic film grain is quite complex as it is random and is different in each layer of the emulsion.

Texture? I guess you mean film grain. Add noise, perhaps. Or do you mean aged film artefacts? Scratches, gate weave, etc? Or maybe you mean "film look", as Bob initially presumed.

Boris Continuum Complete 7 (BCC7) for Vegas Pro has Film Grain, Film Process, and Film Damage FX depending on the look you're after.
