I am using Sound Forge 8.0d (fine for me) and an older Sonic Foundry Sound Forge 5.0 on the same old laptop.. I have a drive connected for audio 1TB 7200rpm USB HD for recording BUT just wanted to know how i properly set up Sound Forge to record all takes, audio, unused junk etc to this drive and bypass the Computers internal program drive so that i don't clutter it up and by mistake end up recording to the old 5400rpm drive which will probably drop out and die! Is this just down to setting up : options > preferences > General > "Temporary Files and Record Folder Path" ?? Or are there other 'paths' to specify that i have missed?? That's it ! And Save to the new drive. Keep insatlling VST plugins to their default C: location. geoff |
