Test your system speed with the Render Test

Hi all.
Just wanted to do another post inviting all Vegas & VF users to take the "Render Test". With no industry benchmark test for the MS DV codec, it's high time we find out if the P4 or Athlon is the king of speed. Also looking to get some discussion going about how to tweek your OS settings for max. performance.

there was a pc tweek thread here a while back. I suggested checking this site out.
www.geocities.com/pcoptimization. Good tips however, I was warned by sonic foundry to be very careful with the erradicator stuff as it can get rid of things that Vegas needs. I'm no techno guru so please do your own research. Hope that helps.

When I first got my P4 1.3ghz ME system, I was able to shave 4 seconds off of a 26 second render. I think I've got my system maxed, but thought that others might learn something. I'm also looking to find someone with an Athlon that can beat my P4 times. I'm going to be building a new system in the next few months and was hopeing to find out once and for all what the fastest CPU is for rendering with the MS DV Codec.

Check this out..... http://www.prorec.com/ these tweaks work well! Disableing services gave me a HUGE increase!
