Recording 1 or 2 tracks only from MOTU 2408/2. Vegas Audio 2.0 .
A pop or click occurs every 3 or 4 seconds (visible on recorded waveform). Sometimes a 'farty brap' on the MOTU outputs on playback.
However, what makes me suspect something is not quite right in Vegas is that during playback (according to an external CPU meter) Vegas is using 58% of my system (Celeron 600 / 256MB ram / 200MB fixed swapfile), and on record 99.98% !!!
I have a separate audio drive which is accessed in a small burst every 1 sec or so, but the system drive appears to be running flat out.
I have configured for the audio and temp files all to be on the audio drive only.
Any ideas ?
