Can't say what the most used or optimal soundcard is for Vegas. However, to go into the soundcard you need a Mini/1/8th inch adapter on the male and the female depends on the input. This is shaky advice at best but, if I play the dense sucker on the first response then hopfully the heavies will come in to correct me and help you.

Probably one of the most used cards is a multi-input card such as the M-audio delta 1010. Visit www.midiman.com

there are loads and loads of options though.

Event and Motu are pretty good options!

Hammerfall hands down.
Excellent support and has great drivers as well.
They also supply you with all the cabling to get you up and running.Nice package. When buying a card make sure you look ahead as well to other features that might be of use to you in the future.
That is why I am very happy to have upgraded to Vegas Video way back when.
Excellent product and support as well!!!!

I've been thinking about the hammerfall.. it's a very attractive option.. but isn't it written from the ground up for ASIO? what about win2k WDM driver support? I'm guessing Vegas 3 is gonna be relying on good WDM drivers!? anyone tried the hammerfall with sonar? that should be a good test of cards for the future!
