nah, a multitrack soundforge would be daft! but it would be useful to get down to the nitty gritty kind of editing as soundforge does on individual wavforms.
Cool Edit Pro does this in a stellar way, it's just a shame the multitrack software isn't nearly as good as vegas!
The main benefit of vegas is listening to elements of a track in the context of a mix - which is superb, and the best way of mixing.
Granted I know less today than I did yesturday, but after the first week on this forum I was grateful for the info it provides and aware that a split would be logically beneficial to all. I posted the same request for a change and the post faded away. I don't see any harm from the marketing standpoint of spliting the forum. I see a more streamline service to the end user.
How about putting "Audio" as the first word in the forum subject? This will give you a quick visual sorting method but also keeps all the Vegas posts together. No surfing thru multiple forums, no missed posts etc. Worth a try?
Yes Its worth a go, If thats the only option for now. How about renaming
the CDA forum to audio or video and let the posts begin from there?
CDA posters could post from within SoundForge. Nothing against CDA
posts(I am still using it W/4.5)But after all its not a going concern like
Vegas right now ,and the program does reside within SForge.Thoughts?

Here's the deal: It is unlikely that we will be separating Vegas Audio and Video forums any time in the near future. We appreciate your patience and flexibility, as well as your posts, and I hope all of you continue to post to this lively and interesting forum despite any percieved inconveniences.
Hey, at least you can appreciate their honesty! I'll bet you've been in forums where the host (1) never bothered to reply, or (2) told you what you wanted to hear even if they had no plans to implement those ideas. You've got to appreciate the fact that SF is VERY active in these forums and that they tell us what to expect, even if it isn't really the answer we want.
