I've got some songs all but ready for mixing and mastering now. I was hoping to hear what others are doing with Vegas. Plus, new music is always a treat to me(the playing to my bedroom walls guy). Please post your favorite Vegas recorded tune. I'l do the same when I've something properly mixed.

check out "Stay" or "it's Alright" at the link below. They were both recorded using vegas and the drums were done with acid. Let me know what you think.
James! I listened to "stay". I like the dynamic arrangment of the song. Cool guitar hook/riff that backbones the song. I thought the vocals could use a little more presence in the mix but, that's just me. I like to listen to the lyrics of songs cause lyrics are the major reason I write myself. Lord knows I've got no chops or voice. Tou made the drum track in acid (using loops I assume) and recorded the rest as live audio tracks? If so, this is just what I've been up to. I've a problem with streaming audio at the moment(time to get a cable modem)but, I'll listen to the others shortly as, I liked the first taste of your writing and recording.
Thanks and cool song,
Theron
I listened to "it's alright" as well. The song has a nice pace. I thought the chorus could have been more pronounced (have a bigger punch to it in the flow). I really like your guitar hook/progressions. What exactly are you using for drums? With all respect and manners, I found the d track a tad droll in this song. Thanks for the link. I like your songwritting.

P.S. what are you dong as far a post-recording? Are you using compression, noise gate, ambient reverb or mixing and mastering everything dry and as it was recorded?
I'm a bit surprised. I thought more Vegas users would want to share their renditions. Last call for songs. I'd love to hear the user potential and talent.
many of us have clients that dont want there stuff mp3'd( as if it wouldnt happen anyway :p ).
The stuff I can find on the web that I made isnt always what Im proudest of, but lemme see if I can dig up something...I wish there was an ftp we could all post to.
try prodocol.com for some stuff very early on with vegas.
errr lemme dig up some more

RobSoul, thanks for the lead. You've a nice websight. I personally like the flash format. The samples were most impessive. If I could afford it and had the technologic resources, I'd have a service such as yours handle my audio needs. As it stands, I'll try to get more intamate with what I have at hand.

Thanks,Theron! If you need any help with anything audio let me know. I'd be happy to help you out - even if it's just giving you some pointers on how to best use what you already have.
Thanks for starting this topic theron3 ! This is the kind of stuff we need I think...just wish I had more stuff to post...
Here is an album by a great pop band done totally in Vegas here at my place..using tascam Da-x8's for converters, focusrite red pre's SSl pre's and the pre's from our lowly soundcraft ghost console. Some of the reverb on this was an aux sent to the bathroom then stereo miced :)
I listened to "fool". Simple and very clean. Solid mix as far as my ear could tell me. I would like to post a song to get some feedback. I've tried just emailingit but, 3.85mg is kinda big. How does one go about putting thier music up on a site like mp3.com? Is this the only place to go if you don't have your own website?
Theron
Taking David H sonic foundry's suggestion, I posted my first Vegas made song on acidplanet.com. I don't have the smarts yet to offer a stream but, if anyone can and will download the mp3 then please feel free to email thoughts, tips, bashes and techno garb. I can't even give a proper link. Go to acidplanet.com and look for Lee Davidson under new artist/rock. Wow! how green can I get!!!
It is my current goal to learn enough for myself to be able to help another dude. I've had nothing but good vibes and solid info from this forum.
Thanks,
Theron.
here's the linkhttp://www.acidplanet.com/Lounge/ArtistDetail.asp?ArtistID=52485
can anyone give me a hint as to the procedure for uploading windows media files for streaming as the acidplanet.com site requests? I was lucky enough to post but i can only offer an mp3 download.
Theron.
