Vegas Pro 10 - Trimmer problems

I am having problems using the trimmer in Vegas 10 which I have not seen in previous versions.

I am building some projects using many small clips. I drag them in to the trimmer first to preview, and edit the start/end points. Sometimes, when playing the clip in the trimmer, it will either play backwards, play very fast, or both.

I can't figure out the exact steps to replicate this behavior, but it happens quite frequently. It seems to happen when scrubbing using the cursor in the trimmer, but I am not 100% certain. I have to drag a different clip into the trimmer to get the preview to play correctly.

Has anyone else noticed this? I am using the 64 bit version on Win7 64.

if you are using the 'I' and 'O' keys for marking In/Out points, I would say you might be accidently hitting the J/K/L keys which will make the cursor play backward/forward as or K-J for slow backward, K-L for slow forward etc.
