Cursor gets stuck during playback

I've had 9e 64-bit for about a week now. Everything was fine until yesterday. Now, the cursor sticks during playback and the timeline does not scroll, even though the audio/video continues to playback just fine in the preview window. There are 180 jpg stills on the timeline.

I installed iTunes yesterday. Could that be the problem?

I am having a similar problem. Running windows 7, with the Vegas 90.e 64 bit, the slider will not work while right clicking and trying to drag it just gets stuck. Even more frustrtating is that I cannot get the project to play back. Using the space bar, or by clicking the play button, it only plays for a split second and stops. Any one have this problem?
