Besides going to each individual track in a song and saving a .wave is there a way to create a one time save that separates all the wave files. I want to bring 8 songs to a Protool's computers.
Assuming PT does not support the AAF format. (And it probably wouldn't work anyway from Vegas)
An OMF conversion utility like EDL Convert from SSL, however.... it ain't cheap!
Many of us have been requesting OMF support on Vegas for quite a few years, or at least, AAF that works, In my experience Vegas AAF only works Vegas>Vegas.
Your cheapest solution (free) is the VASST Trackalizer. I have never used it, but everyone sez it works it works. http://www.vasst.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=106&category_id=76&manufact
Thank you Rraud. One last question: Is there a way to format a track. For instance lets say I make edits to a track is there a way to make it one nice flowing track without making a new .wav?
Only exporting an AAF or OMF would do that w/o rendering new track/files.
I think Trackalizer renders each track automatically, any inter-track edits, splits, x-fades, ect. would be rendered as well.. I don't know about the track plug-ins. Others on this forum have experience with this utility and will probably comment.
For PT you do need all trtacks at the same spec , as project spec/.
I have also had success with AAF both ways(??? - it was a while agoZ), but I think the PT dude had to buy a minor extension utility that cost more than Vegas !!!
AAtranslator would do the job well PT5 export from or to PT 5-8 or if you have paid the $495 for Digi-translator then OMF is possible tho pan is not supported unlike PT5.
Convert to or from Vegas Script or EDL .txt
