Steps to activate audio duck

New to Vegas Pro 9. How do I activate the audio keyframes so I can manually increase/decrease audio levels? The tutorial talks about envelopes, etc. - more confusing than helpful at this point. Anyone have a simple Step 1, then Step 2, etc so I'm not spending hours trying to decipher the tutorial?
Any help greatly appreciated!

At 5 min in, they cover the basics in 30 sec.s or so.

another way with shortcuts.

1 - Type " V " on your keyboard.
2- Double-click on the blue volume line to add points
3- Click and drag the line up/down in between the points to change the volume.

It's actually very easy.

- Right click a point and select delete to remove it .

Another helpful tip: if you drag-select a loop region, then alt-click on the volume envelope and drag it up or down, it automatically adds 4 envelope points to duck/gain the selected region.

Thank you. I saw that step on the tutorial, but must have missed the Alt-Click step.
