IRSC improvement in CD Architect

Here's my challenge.

When I edit and master a set of audio CDs I generally have 18 to 19 CDs with over 300 tracks.

The way CD Architect is design I have to manually enter each IRSC code.

I would like the program to generate the IRSC codes for me.

I enter in the information of my unique numbers, then the program would number all the tracks in that CDs and then "remember" where I left off to generate them on the next CD.

It should be a simple formula and make my life a whole lot easier.

The code starts with:

US-J6R-08-00001

And the last 5 digits are the only ones that change. And I need to add 1 for the next code. So the next one would be US-J6R-08-00002. The one after that US-J6R-08-00003, etc.

If enough of us ask for this, maybe Sony would include it in the next upgrade.

All the best, James

Agreed. Although you can copy the first sert of characters, then type in the last few, hit enter, paste, last few, enter etc.

It's not perfect, but it is fairly quick.

Dear Kenny,

When you have to do 300 of them that is a lot of work when a computer should be able to do it (it's just a formula probem).

What I finally did was have a buddy create an excel spreadsheet with all the codes and then copy and paste them in the IRSC code area.

Thanks, James

Agreed that would be another method- it's been mentioned before now, (I remember it now that you mention it!).

It'll still be awesome to see it included in CDA though.

I completely agree. IRSC management should be built in. (I use MS Excel, but it's annoying...)

This kind of feature could be written very easily if Sony has provided a SDK for third-party developers. I search the Sony site (the whole world-wide collection of sites, not just sonycreativesoftware.com), and I did find that Sony has several SDK's available but none seem to offer the ability to add new menu extensions for CD Architect.

It looks like we'll have to wait for Sony to implement this feature.
