can't open wav files or help files

I just upgraded Sound Forge from 4.0 to 5.0, so I removed
the 4.0 version. Since then I have had to re-enter all the
serial numbers in Acid, Sound Forge and Vegas LE, and Vegas
won't even open files. Also the Help files in Vegas and
Sound Forge are missing. What happened? Please help.

Mark,
From all of your symptoms, my best guess as to what
happened is that the Forge 4.0 uninstaller wiped out the
main Sonic Foundry registry area. This would definitely
wreak havok on most of our apps, some worse than others.
Unless you're willing to do some registry hacking, I'd
recommend that you uninstall, then reinstall Forge 5 and
Vegas LE. This should regenerate all necessary registry
info, and get you back into the swing of things.
