In SF8 making a selection and pressing R would cause a dialogue box to come up allowing the user to name the region. How do I make this happen with SF10?

Thanks,

Kit

Recent versions of Forge have been moving away from modal dialogs.

In version 10 you must use the Regionlist (Ctrl+Alt+M, 0) to edit the name or with the Regionlist open, right-click->Edit on the region marker itself will also edit the name.

Also, if Options->Preferences->General: "Automatically name regions and markers if not playing" is enabled, as soon as you insert a marker or region, the name field on the ruler will activate, allowing you to type a name in immediately.

HI - I did the Auto trim/ crop feature on a full DAT I transferred over and it successfully detected the proper beginning and end of each cue on the tape. However when I was naming each cue in the workspace.. how do I get the software to save each track I named. i right clicked on each marker area and nothing came up for save as.. and then I went to top under file and clicked save as or save and it just saved the lumped wav file ignorning all the names of the cues I named inside the workspace. thank you

Thanks, it seems this setting will do what I want. I usually use unique names so having a default name entered each time isn't enough. I need to be able to edit the names as soon as I create the regions.
