I would love to see DDP capability for the audio side of the house. That would eliminate all of the worries about jitter etc.. when sending stuff off to the plant for Glass Mastering.

Or even just saving to ISO or whatever disc image from direct duplication (with Padus, ImageVurn, Nero, etc) without a writing/reading phase imposed first.

I just want VST support and not running all the plugins at the same time

I second saving to ISO image. A colleague and I have tried many solutions to get CDA to burn to an ISO file and have failed. Unless there is a virtual CD burner out there that I haven't run across...

This would be very handy for higher education institutions that handle LOTS of CDs every semester (i.e. music/fine arts departments).

I purchased a virtual burner software called Phantomburner. I have been using it to burn CDs from CDA5.2d to virtual images that I can then rip with my Zune software.

One of the features of Phantomburner is that it will create an ISO from the virtual CD if you check that option when you create it.

One more thing. Once you burn the CD using CDA5.2d to the virtual CD image you have to eject the virtual CD within Phantomburner before it actually builds the ISO.

Not it's crow eating time. I can't seem to make the feature to create an ISO work...but CDA burns fine to the virtual burner and you can rip or play the burned virtual CD with no problems. The virtual files VDDs are stored on HD and can be mounted again later just like an ISO.

Tried phantomburner...had issues. Worked great for most everything EXCEPT what I needed it to do....

Since the last update (5.2d) is having it's 3rd anniversay, I think it's time to ask if there EVER will be another update for CD-Architect? :)
DDP-Support would really be necessary.
The funny thing is: SONY Music itselft requests DDP-Images for their online-distribution of songs or you have to send an Audio-CD, so they can rip it to DDP. I know "SONY Music" is not "SONY Creative Software" but it still "is a SONY"... :)

I ditched CDA a year ago after getting clicks in my burned cds from it. I switch to Presonus Studio One Pro. The built in mastering is awesome and they have been rolling out updates with more and more feature every few months.

Yes, I believe its getting close to the point where someone will come along and say" Wow, CDA . . . I haven't ever seen one of those!! So that's what it looks like".

Maybe an image of it will end up in a history of computer recording museum somewhere. ;-(
