OT Logitech Z 5500 as 5.1 monitor system?

I´m doing many consert projects mostly amateur classical music
and often with choirs.
I use to take audio near with Zoom H2 and H4 and at distance with
Tascam HD-P2 with Röde NT4.
Up til now I´ve mixed to stereo DVD´s but since I already have deepness in the adio-takes I presume I could do rather good 5.1 audio dvd´s.
Question: Is the Logitech Z 5500 5.1 system good enough for monitoring when editing 5.1 sound.
Has anybody tested?
As you understand I´m a happy amateur and don´t expect professionel monitoring - but is this system crap or fair enough?

I'm suspecting you won't get a *reference* monitoring with those. They usually boost the bass and his so much that what you get is great for your system after adjustment but when you'll play your dvd or cd on another system it will not sound so well...
M-Audio are said to have a fairly good speakers system that won't cost you a house and will give you what you want here. I don't remember the model tough... Try a search, I'm sure it's in a lot of posts from a few time ago.

Antoher tought: maybe, if you could find an equalizer, you could balance the whole thing where you usually mix (with the Logitechs if you already own it) with a spectral analyzer you could easily rent for a weekend ?

Thanks for answer!
Just now I have "Esi nEar 05" active monitors for monitoring sound quality.
My thought was to use Logitech Z5500 for a way to balance front and back sound when sound quality was already set.
Perhaps no good idea?
