Event HAD Soft Contrast FX now it's gone?

Grazie wrote on 9/17/2009, 7:43 AM
I had the "new" Soft Contrast FX applied to an Event, but now it is not active. The "Green" highlight is there on the FX icon within the Event, but clicking on it shows an empty menu, no controls, except for the FX Timeline, the Chain and Preset bar.

I have never EVER seen this before. All my other SONY FXs are live and kicking.

Any takers?

I did my "VP9-Tango". Close and reopen! Well I got it back, but I'll keep an eye on this . .

Aha! I've had this happen on the Velvet matter light rays and glint as well.

While I'm at it, I've had to abandon some lens flare effects, which randomly jump around a bit in between what should be a smooth transition from one keyframe to another. These same lens flares work fine in V8c

I've had this problem with Velvet matter as well, in the past, but have never been able to faithfully recreate it to submit a bug report to Velvet Matter when they weren't owned by Sony, now that they are, I am hoping someone will be able to figure out a way to repeat it so that it can be fixed.

Hi,

This is the same case as disappearing folders under PlugIn Manager. I have described this to SCS and sent them all logs from my computer. But they still can't recreate this error on their computers.

In my case there were there steps before total crash (reinstall off Vegas and all components) :

1) disappearing folders under PlugIn manager
2) disappearing effect window content (as You just have described, but not only with Velvet, also with NewBlue)
3) disappearing all presets and effect animation content in effects window.

Today I'm permanently in step 1) and I hope never see again step 2) and 3). In my case step 2) and 3) is not sensitive for reboot computer. You can only to fix it with full reinstall procedure.

As I have discussed it in other topic : this is registry issue. Mismatch between registration of plugin's unique number and location of it's contents.

Regards,

Dave & RRA, thanks. I have sent the VEG & comments to SONY.
