After using Vegas for years, I finally read a post by Grazie that introduced to me the concept of merging 2 clips together to 'Add as take'
Currently it takes a right click + drag from the Project Media window
I know if you loop it will automatically add takes... But I find that I tend to stop recording between takes a lot of the time, which creates all these extra clips lying around on the timeline.
When i'm cleaning up my timeline after doing multiple passes of tracks, I don't really want to have to dig in to the Project media list. Wouldn't it be simple to add this feature straight from the timeline?
Right now, if you right click an event on the timeline and drag, you get the 2 options copy here, move here.
Could you simply add the option to 'Add as take' in this dialog box as well?
I know the video side of Vegas9 is in absolute shambles right now, maybe this will give the audio programmers something to do for 9b. :)
