When you use Main Concept MPEG-2 encoding to HDV 720-30p there are several settings under custom that you can change. (Using 9.0a)
In order to get the "best" result without looking at how big the rendered file is I have tried to change some of the settings - but se no or just marginal differences.
I.e. changing the Video quality from near minimum to near maximum gives no change at all - and playing around with Profile/level also seems to give no change.
Changing the I-frames and B-frames also gives no change
Changing the Bitrate from 5 Mbps to 18 Mbps gives no change - not even in the file size - really, really strange??
I ask myself if all the settings are locked to some standard values in our Vegas version of this codec so that it does not matter what we change them to ?
Do you know where to find a manual for this codec - or have you got some experience with this codec, that you could share.
