Subject:REGRETTING MY UPGRADE TO 7.0!!!!!

Folks if you're thinking about upgrading let me tell you this: I've been a loyal Acid devotee for almost ten years, but upgrading to 7.0 from 5.0 has ruined my love for the program. My old rig which ran 5.0 flawlessly can barely run 7.0 and was soooo sluggish. I then built a new rig partly to run 7.0 and now am constantly plagued with bugs and crashes: EVERYTHING else runs FLAWLESSLY including ProTools.
I am BUMMED!!!!

If you give your system specs and what is happening, then perhaps someone will try to help you. Trust me and thousands of others, 7 works great. You have some issues, they can be fixed.

There are a LOT of problems with 7 in my experiences to. I went right off it a few months back and almost sold my liscence, but gave it one more chance and now everything runs more or less smoothly except for one major bug that no one seems to be able to help me with.
I must admit, I had a trial version of Sonar 8 on my computer and that run absolutly flawlessly, the only reason I didnt switch DAWs was simply because I couldnt afford to.

You must be the only one since hundreds, thousands even have purchased 7 and rave at how good it is. And of course - you provide zero detail on your new rig, audio interface, ,bugs, crashes and especially what ever else you have installed on there etc etc + plus screaming in capitol letters will surely have people falling over themselves to help you....

Try some tact and information first...it will work wonders.

Well, I've e-mailed support 2, maybe three times (I'll check in a minute), my specs are on file, I sent crash reports, even Windows error reports...

after initial success with AP7, now I'm among the supposedly few who are plagued with crashes and errors.
And, having applied patience, tact and information, I've received ZERO support, not even a reply.

I have been with AP since version 5, I like it when it works.

And I personally find Vocalpoint's commentary terribly patronizing. My 2cents.

I have read through your previous posts here: I helped a couple times, but on 10/29/2008 you wrote:

When did you report your problems to tech support? Do you have contact information with your tech support efforts? I'd like to track down what you have reported and understand what you problems are.

What problems are you having? Be specific if you can.

I have no problem patronizing something that has been good to me - both AP7 and Sony support (time to time as needed) has been timely and outstanding.

Again - I have no idea what your problem is - or why your 18 total posts give little to no indication that you are actually having a problem - but what's exactly is the problem?.

Since you seem to have given up on the "standard" help channels - what's the risk in letting this board know what's going on?

He's got a point there. I've email tech support on one issue and there is no confirmation or anything that they received it. I think it is "broken" on the website. I hate it when support bypasses email clients.
Unfortunately forums like these could be better if people could upload photos or projects so we could verify if it is an app bug or a system bug.
