Stretching it doesn't lose quality. However, to make use of it you'll have to render it eventually. Depending on how you render it, which output format & codec you use, there can be none to substantial loss. But then, this is the case when you do anything to the video, not just slow motion.

When I render the movie I use Mpeg2 using the DVD architect format with AC3. Will there be any loss in that format? I guess maybe it could have been thecamera we used. We used a Canon GL2 and shooting in low light and far away degraded the picture where it was blurry. My PD170 is better in low light conditions. You think that could be the problem the Canon GL2?
