Is PAL tv standard res (for DVD) 720x576?

I have a project that was done for NTSC (for here in Canada), and now I'm wanting to make a version for my relatives in Europe. Am I right in assuming that I need only go into the Preferences and set the Resolution to PAL?

Also, for a DVD for Europe, would I be choosing PAL (720x576), or one of the other resolutions? I'm not sure what the standard TV/DVD resolution is in Europe.

Anything else I need to change?

Yes, 720 X 576 is PAL standard, as is 25fps. In fact, most players and TVs in Europe can play NTSC DVDs as-is. It's worth checking, as you might save yourself quite a bit of time - and some loss of quality.
