Where's the road signs!!!

Wow 2 posts I answered tonight and neither landed anywhere
near the original posts. Can we have the old website back,
this one doesn't work?

......ok time to hit the "Post Topic" button, let's see if
this one lands in the Sound Forge or Acid Forums.....or
maybe even the Nuendo forum....now that would be kinda cool.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with any of the hardware
that you mentioned, but if I was to point a finger I would
expect those MOTU devices. Just for the fact that they're
a MAC based company and don't give a crap about us PC
users. If I was in your shoes though...and I've been there
before...here's what I would do to try and narrow the
problem down.

Create another hardware profile for your computer.
1. Right Click on the "My Computer" Icon.
2. Select properties
3. Select Hardware Profile Tab
4. Copy "original configuration" and then rename the copy.
5. Now Reboot your computer
When you now reboot it will ask you for which hardware
profile that you want to use, select the new copied profile.
Now start removing hardware devices one at a time and
creating more new hardware profiles. I would suggest
removing your unneccessary hard drive controlers and hard
drives first. You can also then copy your "original
configuration" and then try just removing a MOTU device
with all your hard drives installed. You can still run
Vegas without a sound card, but obviously you won't be able
to hear anything. With each hardware profile you create,
run Vegas and see what happens. Eventually you will be
able to narrow down your hardware conflict.

The great thing about creating new hardware profiles, is
that you can always get back to your original configuration
and delete the ones you don't need.

Good luck!!!

I've heard many horror stories about the VIA chipsets. Even the Appolo chipset gave me all kinds of
headaches. If you can, try plugging everything into a different motherboard with BX chipset.
