Subject:Izotope Delay Comp in Acid 7?

Hi all! I did a little searching around, and saw Vegas has a feature which lets you adjust delay compensation for the Izotope Ozone plug-ins, but my problem is in Acid 7 (and actually, every version prior. I'm just getting around to finally conquering it!).

I'm using Izotope Ozone 3 with Acid 7, but if I apply any of the Izotope effects or presets to either individual tracks or via a bus, that track experiences a little delay (it's more subtle with the busses, but still there a bit). I don't have this problem with any other plug-in (the Sony plug-ins work just fine), and none of my tracks are experiencing any other kind of latency issues.

This is probably an easy fix I'm just not seeing, but any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Aren't plugs supposed to automatically report their processing delay so the app can (automatically) compensate correctly ?

I thought it should be automatic, too, but there's obviously something going on with mine (the delay is there), which is what's making me think that I must just be missing something.

Hey Dana,

I'm seeing this with PSP Vintage warmer. I use Izotope Ozone on buss's and the master out and I haven't really noticed any issue.

If I have anything routed say from a:

Audio track>>>>>>>>>>>>>Master outs.
\/ / \/>>Buss a>>/
The audio routed to the buss has a delay in it.

What version of Ozone are you using?

Ed.

Thanks for the reply, Ed. I'm using Ozone 3. I saw your answer to darrena's inquiry too, and I think I'm close to having the same problem they are! I'm having it at both track level (if I'm not bussing anything) and when I use busses for effects or compression instead (though I notice less delay there).

I'm going to keep playing with it a little, but I thank you all for the quick input! I wasn't expecting replies so fast. Great forums.

Just a follow up for anyone else who may be searching for this issue, at least via bussing (haven't tried it at track level), I'm seemingly not having this issue anymore! Either all of your good juju or I finally found the right setting worked, and it's behaving as it should now. Thank everyone again, though, for the attention to it.

Hey dana,

If it happens again can you post a step by step of:

1)Where the plugin is?

2)How it's routed?

3)Are you using a preset from the plugin or a user-created one?

4)In Ozone what modules are being used in it and whats off.

Will do, Ed! I'm hoping it doesn't come back, but I'll definitely fill in all the details if it does.
